Frequently Asked Questions Minimize

Are instructions included?

For $2 you can receive instructions for most of my pans.

I have an idea/theme in mind but don’t see a pan that works?

Many of the pans are versatile and a given pan can be used to make a number of very different cakes. Let me know what your idea or theme is and I will be happy to provide you with some ideas.

I want to rent a particular pan but don’t see it in your gallery?

I am getting new stock in all the time so please contact me with your request. Even if I don’t have the pan I may be able to acquire it

Would you be interested in purchasing my used pans?

If you have any Wilton pans,  I would be happy to discuss it with you and see if it is a pan I need.

What should I use to ensure my cake comes out of the pan easily?

You can prepare your pan with vegetable shortening and flour (for best results do not use butter, margarine or liquid vegetable oil) or a cake release spray.

What are icing gel colors and why do instructions call for them?

Icing gel colors help you achieve an exact shade without changing the icing consistency. Using liquid food colorings can make your icing too thin and affect your ability to pipe decorations.

I would love to decorate a cake, but am unsure of what to do?

I would be delighted to get you started.  Check out my Class page for my up coming schedule

Why can’t pans go in the dishwasher?

Pans discolor and look dirty if placed in the dishwater.

Do you sell decorating products?

No, but I can help you find most everything you are looking for
